CLASS INSTRUCTION FOR BEGINNER DRIVERS

24 hours in classroom instruction that equals 1440 minutes + BTW (drives) of 8 hours.

We currently offer the beginner driver class room instruction in six sessions of 4 hours each (plus break times)

Students are required to attend each different class session. Each session has designated set of subjects.

All students must start with session one and end with session six.

Session 2 thru 5 may be taken out of order if needed.

No student will be allowed to attend session six until sessions one to five have been completed.

In the first hour of session one – is information for students about the school guidelines and more.

After 23 hours of classroom instruction and the end of session 6 - the class final testing as required by State of Ohio.

The following is just to give you and idea of what subjects will be discussed in the class sessions

Session 1 = INTRO, GDL, organ donation, and the basics about driving,

Session 2 = defensive driving techniques and natural laws affecting driving

Session 3 = sharing the road with others and different driving environments

Session 4 = adverse weather and vehicle emergencies

Session 5 = DRIVER FITNESS, physically and emotionally

Session 6 = owning, maintaining, insuring a vehicle and the FINAL TEST in the last hour of class.

CLASSES ARE OFFERED AT VARIOUS TIMES AND DAYS THRU OUT EACH MONTH

In sets of 6 class session – we recommend all class session be completed within 2 months of course start date.

AFTERNOONS = 1:15pm to 5:30pm (SUNDAYS – year round)

EVENINGS = 5:15pm to 9:30pm (weeknights usually Tuesday and Thursday – year round)

MIDDAY = 10:15am to 2:30 pm (weekdays – summers and holidays)

Behind the wheel (drive) instructions, 8 hours, scheduled in 4 sessions of two hour drives.

Scheduled independently of classroom schedules.
